As we emerged from the labyrinth, the sirens wailed louder, signaling our impending rescue. However, the situation took an unexpected turn. Amidst the chaos, Jake's accusatory words hung heavy in the air.
"We all think you are the killer or partners in crime with Klyne who purposely betrayed us, making us believe he was trying to help us," Jake's tearful declaration echoed, casting a shadow of suspicion on the group. The torchlight, now a dim glow in the evening twilight, painted shadows that seemed to amplify the tension.
Gelo, Emma, and Alyson exchanged wary glances. The torchlight flickered, casting shadows on their faces as they grappled with the sudden accusation. I, too, felt a knot tighten in my stomach, uncertain of how this unforeseen twist would unfold.
