The house in front of us was huge but didn’t look any different from the homes that were already located in Colorado. I’m not sure what I expected to see, but not a home that resembled that of a skiing lodge.
We followed the four men into a hall that was a light blue room with vaulted ceilings. I could tell if we continued to walk we would walk into a much larger room. However, we stopped once inside the door.
The hall had 4 large doors, two on each side and an opening at the end of the hall.
As we waited, I watched as another 4 large men came walking in our direction, followed by a tall, slender, blonde woman with grey-blue eyes.
As she approached, I felt Beta Bennett next to me shift uncomfortably. I glanced at him quickly as his hands balled into fists.
