For a long moment, neither of them moved. Anderson stood at the bottom of the steps, hands in his pockets, suit jacket open. He looked as if he hadn't slept. There was stubble on his jaw, dark circles under his eyes. Olivia tightened her grip on her bag strap. “Why are you here?" she asked. “I called all day," he said. “You never answered." “I was working," she replied. “Some of us don't have time to sit by the phone."
