“There has been a decline in sales in recent times and we think this is attributed to the fact that……..” the woman droned on, reading out from her chart and her PowerPoint. Melvin listened in the beginning but as she continued, his attention strayed. He looked down at his phone.
Just yesterday, he collected Bella’s number. He sent her a text, letting her know he was the one and she gave him short, curt replies. It bothered him as replies like that were things he usually gave when he wasn’t interested in women. Even after deleting a lot of messages, there were still a lot of women demanding his attention in his dm.
It was frustrating. His attention strayed every few minutes to his phone, his brows furrowing as he discovered there was no text from her. His lips dipped until they were a full-fleshed frown, scaring the employee present.
“f**k this!” he cursed, drawing the room to a screeching halt. It took him a while to notice everyone was looking at him.
“Did I do something wrong, Mr. Jones? The sales are not a direct fault of ours but we can surely increase promotion and sales this month…….”
“Yeah, you do that. You know what, why don’t we go on a short break…….”
“Mr. Jones, the meeting just started” one of the directors pointed out.
“I don’t care. All of you, out.”
Grumbling, all the employees packed up their stuff and began moving out of the meeting room for a ‘short’ break. Melvin went back to his office, taking a cigarette with shaky hands, taking a while to light them. When he took a long inhale and puffed it out, his body finally calmed.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had been this bothered about a woman. To think he would get anxious about her not texting him, he almost laughed out loud. He inhaled the smoke, letting it out through his nose. He made his mind up and returned to the meeting.
When work ended, without a word, Melvin left the office. This alerted Jeremy who had a very bad feeling. He decided to trail after him, putting Bella on speed dial. Melvin made his way to the other side of the city to another club. It was a huge club too, a popular club most famous for being Collen’s rival. Collen would never enter the club so Melvin knew he was safe there.
He pulled into the parking lot and entered the club through an alternate entrance. Unlike Collen’s club, it was a lot more reserved with soft music playing on one floor and booming music on another. He was led to the VIP section and soon attended to by the manager.
“Welcome, sir. What can I get for you today?” the lady smiled. She was an attractive tall woman in a long slit red dress. It was too bad she was a brunette.
“I’d take the weekday special.”
“Of course sir. We will give you only the best” she said, walking out soon after. Melvin only had to wait for a few minutes before the red curtains of the booth were slid open by two young ladies. They looked no older than 16, wearing short clothes that exposed their cleavage and thighs. They also had striking blonde hair and green eyes.
Behind them, two waiters came in with trays of food, snacks, and drinks. Slid under one of the snacks were a few packs of condoms. Melvin smiled, stretching his hands. The girls giggled, falling into his arms. He stroked the hair of the one on his right, stroking the back of the one on the left.
“It’s been too long since you came to visit, Melvin! We missed you” the one on the left kissed his cheek. The bright red lipstick stained his cheek but he didn’t seem to mind. The other one pouted, placing a kiss on his cheek too.
“I was a little occupied. I’m glad to see you guys again.”
“Me too!” they chirped in unison. Without a cue, one got up and knelt in front of him, unbuckling his trousers. The other turned his head, kissing his neck. A low moan snuck out of his throat as he grabbed her head and kissed her on the lips. The other one pulled his boxers down, marveling at his size and girth. She held it in her hand, sliding her hand up and down before wrapping her tongue around the tip.
Melvin pulled the hair of the one he was kissing, deepening the kiss. He moaned into her mouth as the girl below him slid more of him into her throat. He tore her clothes off aggressively, biting on one of her n*****s. She giggled loudly, pulling his hair as he played with her n*****s with his tongue.
There was a small gap in the curtains, one Jeremy used to spy into the booth. He cursed and walked away before he was caught, going to the parking lot to call Bella. She picked up almost immediately.
“Hello-”
“What the hell is wrong with you?! I thought you had his attention!”
“Yeah, he’s texting me. Is something wrong?”
“No s**t, Bella. He’s currently in a club being entertained by two women.”
“This isn’t something I can control, Jeremy.”
“I don’t know what you would do, sleep with him or whatever, just get his attention back on you. You got that, Bella?!”
“But……I wanted my first time to be special” whispered, tears at the corner of her eyes. It didn’t sound like he cared.
“Is it worth more than a billion dollars?”
Bella was silent, still on the call. She let Jeremy rant on, releasing his anger on her as she had also done in the past. It was the only way to appease him. Regardless of what he said, she was just happy to hear his voice.
“I’ll text him tomorrow. I’ll do anything. I’m sorry, Jeremy.”
“I don’t care for your apologies, Bella. Fix this, right now!”
“Yes.”
He hung up as abruptly as he called. She sighed, dropping the phone. Her overtime work stared her in the face as she rubbed her eyes. She had been stuck in the office the entire day, taking out of her free time to respond to Melvin when she saw his texts. The deadline for the submission of Dana’s article on the Museum exhibition was close and she had to finish it as soon as possible.
“You look really exhausted. Tomorrow’s your day off. Are you sure you can finish in time? I can extend the deadline” Peyton said, peeking over her shoulder. She shook her head, flexing her fingers.
“We’re already behind. A Magazine has already published its report. It would be such a shame.”
“Okay. I brought you water. Don’t work too hard, okay?”
“I’m almost done with this. Thank you, Mr. Bard.”
“You’re welcome, Bella.”
