On the night of the ritual, the sky is ablaze with falling stars. The celestial energy is at its peak, and Lyra feels a surge of hope. She and Aeron make their way to a secluded spot by the cliffs where they first met. The stars above seem to watch, as if they are witnesses to the dangerous spell about to unfold.
Lyra begins the ritual, drawing a circle of stardust and chanting the ancient incantation. As she pours her life force into the spell, Aeron begins to glow, his form shimmering with celestial light. At first, it seems like the ritual is working—Aeron’s form becomes more solid, more present, and Lyra feels a connection between them strengthening.
But then, something goes horribly wrong.
The sky darkens, and the stars begin to flicker out, one by one. Aeron’s glow intensifies, but instead of binding him to the Earth, it starts to consume him. His form begins to break apart, turning into particles of stardust. Lyra panics, trying to pull him back, but it’s too late. Aeron is being reclaimed by the stars. In his final moments, he reaches out to her, his voice faint, “I love you,” before his body disintegrates entirely.
Lyra collapses to the ground, her hands filled with stardust. The ritual has failed. Aeron is gone, taken back by the sky, and Lyra is left alone. Worse, her connection to the stars has been severed. She can no longer feel their warmth or hear their whispers. The stars, once her guide and comfort, are now silent and distant.
