Bram returned to Pinehaven sooner than I expected. I was helping Mara prepare one of the visitor rooms when Tessa came looking for me. She said Bram had asked Lenora whether I was still there. I left the room as soon as Mara told me she could finish without me.
I found Bram sitting outside Lenora's house with Taren nearby. His wagon wasn't with him this time, and I wondered if he had come only to speak with us. Lenora invited me to sit with them. Bram waited until I did before reaching into his pocket.
"I remembered something after I left." Bram placed a folded piece of paper on the table. "A name I haven't thought about in years. I wrote it down before I could forget it again."
