Once upon a time there was a famine in the time of the children of Israel. It had not been raining for a long time. Pray to the Almighty to send down rain.
So Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) took his people with him and came out of the town to pray. These people were seventy thousand or more. Moses (peace be upon him) began to pray with great humility.
"My Lord, bless us with rain, bless us with blessings, small innocent children, speechless animals and the sick are all candidates for Your mercy, so have mercy on them and give us a place in Your mercy."
The prayers continued, but the clouds did not know for a long time. The heat of the sun became hotter and brighter. Moses (peace be upon him) was very surprised.
There is a man among you who has been disobedient to me for the last forty years, and has committed sins, O Moses! It won't rain until he comes out. "
Moses (peace be upon him) said: Almighty! I am a weak servant, my voice is also weak, these people are seventy thousand or more, how can I convey my voice to them?
The answer was: "Your job is to give voice. It is our job to deliver."
Moses called out to his people and said:
"O sinful and disobedient servant of the Lord, who has been angering his Lord for the last forty years and inviting him to fight, come out of the people, we are deprived of the rain of mercy for your evil deeds."
This sinful servant looked to his right and left. No one moved from his place. He understood that he was the one who was wanted. If it turns out, all the people will be deprived of rain just because of me.
Now he hid his face in his cloak, embarrassed by his past actions, and prayed:
"O my Lord, how gracious and tolerant I am that I disobeyed You for forty years, and You granted me respite, and now I have come here in obedience to You. Accept my repentance and forgive me today, and disgrace me. Avoid embarrassment. "
... It wasn't long before the sky was filled with clouds and heavy rain began to fall. Now Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) asked again, O God! How did you start raining that disobedient servant not come out of the assembly?
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
O Moses! Thanks to him I stopped the rain, now I am raining because he has repented.
Moses (peace be upon him) said: O Allah! Join me with this man so I can see him
He said: "O Musa! I did not disgrace him when he disobeyed me, and now that he has become obedient to me, how can I disgrace and disgrace him?"
