Alice “I don’t like it,” George grumbled.  He was hunched behind the wheel of the Jeep, staring out the windshield at the rather seedy and weathered front of Angelo’s Bar and Grill.  The truth was, I didn’t really like it either.  I kind of had this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.  “It’s fine, I’ll be fine,” I said, as much to reassure him as to reassure myself.  “Probably, he just wants money.  But maybe... maybe he knows something, and he was just afraid to talk about it in front of Gillian.” I shrugged away my doubts.  “At least it’s a public place, right?  And I’ve got my phone, so if anything goes wrong, I’ll call you.”  “I’d rather come in with you.” George grumbled with a stormy look.  He was so cute when he was all worried and protective.  I unbuckled my seatbelt and leane
