(O’Flynne P.O.V)

I finally knew where Kataya was and now I have to face a Dragon over ownership, I hoped the box that was taken to the Headmaster would be enough to prove that Marcus had no right to sell Kataya. Upon arrival I was taken to a room and asked to wait, this was torture I could smell Kataya I knew it was not the best idea in a Dragons home, I started to pace the length of the room to try and take my mind of the fact that she was so close. I had been walked the room for what for felt like hours when a knock came at the door.

“Yes?” I called.

Mid-Pace I turned and face the door I was face by a younger Half Elf walked into the room I could tell he was Half Elf by his smell his sickly sweet earthly scent of his Elven blood, he entered and bowed slightly the spoke:

“My Lord, I am The Dragon’s Headmaster William. The Dragon would like to speak you now, please follow me.”

He motioned towards the door I followed him to the hallway, my eyes flashed purple her scent was stronger, it took everything I had to not follow her scent to her location I knew better in the home of a Dragon, it could be seen as an act of aggression and that would be the worse possible out come of this whole situation. Oh Moon Goddess please let this situation go well.

“Headmaster William, if I may ask how is Kataya?” I asked.

I tried my hardest to keep my voice even it only half worked, I was just happy my voice did not crack, I was so close to her yet seeing her was worse than torture. I hoped that William could see that this was agonizing not see her. He smiled gently, Elves were known for there ability of being annoying I hoped this was not one of those times that he was being annoying like his Elven blood would suggest.

“Would you like to see her before we go to the Dragon?” William asked.

“Yes, I would, however I do not want to keep Him waiting.” I said.

“He guessed that you would be impatience to see her, and gave me instructions for this situation, please follow, we will see her first.” William answered.

I followed close behind him, we went up the stairs there were many Fairies, I paid them no mind they were not the reason for being here, I was here for Kataya she was the only person who mattered to me, nothing else mattered. We went up the stairs for quiet a ways until we came to a room that was away from everyone else, we came to the door and William turned and spoke:

“This is a guest room, given the situation we wanted to make sure of all the legal documents as well as if the stories about you and your change from the High Order are true.”

I nodded in acknowledgment of what he said, he nodded in turned William in turned and opened the door. We walked in the room I looked around the whole room I was pleased to find the room fully furnished. There were two sets of sitting chairs one by a book case which had books on the second set of chairs was next to the fire place, I found her sitting on a stool there was an older Fairy there rubbing ointment on her back the scars there were smaller than I remembered. I was pleased to find her sitting and reading while being treated. I had not said a word but she sensed me and turned and said with the biggest smile I had ever seen.

“My Lord, O’Flynne your here!” Kataya said.

Her voice was angelic music to my ears I had not realized how much I missed her voice until she spoke I smiled gently at her and spoke gently:

“Yes I am here. The Dragon requested to see me, as well as the legal paperwork regarding sale etc. How are you Kataya?”

“I am doing well almost healed. They are even healing my scars so that they will go away, there was some concern that they that there maybe restricted use of my wings because of them. But I have never used my wings, so I did not see he concern but William and The Dragon insisted that they try and heal them as much as possible.” She said.

“I am glad that they are healing you, perhaps you can learn to fly once you are fully healed. I am also glad to see you reading. What are you reading?” I asked.

“It’s a gardening book, I’m not sure what the title is, but I like it is informative about care as well as what type of soil to use for plants, to get the best growth. It is amazing really I haven’t read anything like. I would love to actually have a garden to try some of these suggestions.” she said

I had slowly I had walked over to where she was sitting and knelt down next to where she was sitting. I was so happy to see her reading as well as the fact that she was allowed to read. The Dragon was much kinder than I would have thought of a slave owner. I knew my eyes had changed color again at this to blue gray, I was happy and content, I hoped she had not felt my emotions all this time. I looked up at the other Fairy and asked:

“Have you been taking care of her?”

“Yes, My Lord.” she answered.

“Well, thank you she is in a lot better health then when I saw her last. She also in good spirits, Thank you.” I said.

“You are most welcome, My Lord.” The Fairy said.

I sat there for a long moment just looking at Kataya enjoying this wondering if this would be the last time I would get to look at her and be in awe of her beauty. I tore myself from her beauty and turned and spoke to William:

“I brought something for Kataya. If someone could be sent to bring the flowers to her I would be most grateful.”

“You brought the flowers?!” Kataya squeaked with excitement.

I smiled gently and looked at her she she was adorable when she was excited. I looked at her I knew my eyes were shining because she was happy I then said with a chuckle:

“Yes I brought your flowers, I wanted to make sure that you had them no matter what happened here. I know they are your favorite.” I said.

“I will have a servant bring them up right away, as well as small flower tending kit for you.” William said.

“Thank you, William.” Kataya said.

William nodded in reply and and went to the door he talked to someone outside in a hushed tone, I turned back to Kataya gently took her hand the other Fairy that was here had walked to the other side of the room where the ointments were set up.

“I’ve missed you Kataya please know that I will do what I can to bring you home peacefully.” I said.

She smiled and said:

“I know you will, the only thing I can add is gracious words go far with Dragons. I hope it helps my Lord.” she said with a gently smile.

“It will Kataya, William we should not keep his Lordship waiting. Please lead the way.” I said.

“Of course my lord.” William said

He then gestured towards the doors, I stood up slowly as she was still skittish of fast movements around her, I then gently caressed her face between my hands and kissed her forehead, I poured all of my love and care for her into that gesture she blushed as I left her. I hoped that all of this would actually go well, Please Moon Goddess, let this go well I do not think I could live without her in my life.

William lead the way up more stairs to a large cavern like room where I was to meet the Dragon my unease increased as we entered the room. Everything depended on how this went, only the gods knew how this went, I hoped The Master was right when he said that The Dragon was reasonable. I followed behind William to know where to go. He walked into the center of the room he stayed within 50 yards of the wall, I stayed slightly behind William as a sign of respect. Then William bowed facing the back of the room, I followed suit realizing The Dragon had been watching all this time.

“My Lord, this is Lord O’Flynne.” William said.

“My Lord, it is a pleasure to meet you in person.” I said.

“I have been looking forward to meeting you O’Flynne. William and I have looked over the paperwork that was given I am pleased by the detail explanation of the situation I wonder, what has happened to both Erik and Marcus?” The Dragon said.

“Well, Erik attempted to kill The Master, so The Master put a kill order was put out through the house the Tenthrok hunted and killed him. They accepted the capture contract.” I answered.

“I see, a well deserved death after what he has done.” The Dragon said.

“Yes my lord.”

“And Marcus? What has been done with him?” The Dragon asked.

“Last I knew he would be facing his punishment shortly. The full extent of what was going to be done I do not know.” I said.

“I see, William, I am guessing, you stopped to see her, interactions, with Kataya, in your opinion?” the Dragon asked.

“Yes, we did. Kind, caring, nurturing, he brought her a gift, a flower. She was also very pleased to see him, happy in fact.” William said.

“Good. O’Flynne, I would like a few days proof that the High Order has succeeded in your change. If you like a room it will be arranged, or if you would like to stay with Kataya I will be more than happy to accept that as well, your choice.” The Dragon said.

“My Lord I would like to stay with Kataya, if she finds it acceptable.” I said.

“I thought you might. I want to ask you is she your Mate?” Th a Dragon asked.

“My Lord, I am not completely sure, but I believe it is very good chance of it. I was sent to find my Mate though I did not know it at the time. She’s the only Fairy to ever invoke such a strong emotional response from me in all my time in this life. I cannot imagine my life without her in it. It is strange that only a short period of time, and she has become the center of my life. My Lord, I would do anything for her.” said.

“Well, if you care that much about her we will see it. I want to make sure that you will give her the proper care.” The Dragon said.

“Of course, My Lord.” I said.

“We will send word to The Master about the time needed. Do you need anything?” William said.

“No, The Master planned on a longer trip so there is more that enough food for me for at least a months time. Thank you. If anything changes I will let you know Headmaster William.” I said.

“Good, then the letter will be sent, dinner’s soon I will show you back, and have your things brought up.” William said.

“Good, then welcome O’Flynne, an update of when I am satisfied within a few days or longer depending on you, please remember that.” The Dragon said.

“I will My Lord. Thank you for the chance to prove myself to you.” I said.

“Your welcome, that is all for now.” The Dragons said.

William and I bowed, and left he lead me back to Kataya's room. It was now our room it was satisfying to think of it as our room.
