2. My Love My Mate

Lizz was purring in my mind , "Mate". She wanted to find her mate badly.

Suddenly I saw those beautiful brown eyes. We made an eye contact. He finally uttered the word which I wanted to hear badly , "Mate".

Evan is my mate. Moon Goddess fulfilled my prayer. But when I saw his expression I feel like he was not that happy. Our friends Rea , David , Sarah , Maddy and Charles. They were congratulating us.

"Congrats guys l. I knew it you were mates." David said hugging Sarah.

Did I told you Sarah and David were mates?!

Rea , Maddy nickname of Madison and Charles are yet to find their mates.

"Evan , Is everything alright?!" I asked him.

"Yeah. Everything is ok. I'm so happy that you are my mate." Evan said hugging me.

*Evan's POV*

For the last few days I am feeling a attraction towards Gabby. I do not want her to be my mate. She is so dominant.

Do not get me wrong. I know that she is my future Alpha and for that I respect her a lot. I do not respect her just because she is our Alpha's pup. She deserves that respect. He strong mindset , wishful perspective and excellent fighting skill has proved it. No one in the pack has any doubt believing that she will be a great Alpha we can ask for.

But I do not want such a strong , powerful , untamed mate for me. I want a submissive mate. Who will be as delicate as flower. Who will need my protection. Who can satisfy my male ego. Even if I get a human mate I would be much happier. At least she will not be more powerful than me.

Once I had got paired up with Gabby , and I swear to Moon Goddess she was much stronger than me. She defeated me in just 2 minutes. Although I was impressed but I was not happy to be defeated. When the match ended I was covered with sweat wherefore she was not even looked a little bit like that she was fighting a while ago. Even yesterday when she was paired up with my twin sister Sarah she did not show any mercy on her too. Although Sarah wanted to be a warrior , Gabby should have show her some mercy as she was not as strong as Gabby.

I know my reason can not be justified yet I do not want Gabby to be my mate. Why Moon Goddess did this to me?!

Now do I have any choice to reject her?! If I reject her may be she will not make me the Beta. I do not want to lose my place as a beta. But I can not even accept her. I had to do something about this.

* Gabriela's POV *

When we returned to the pack house everyone was busy preparing for my birthday.

When I and Evan told our parents that we are mates, they were so happy.

Evan's dad Bob said, "What a great match is this?! One will be the Alpha of our pack whereas the other one is the Beta of our pack."

"If my daughter is happy then I am happy too. I just do not want to see my daughter in any distress. So I just want to warn you Evan never ever hurt my daughter." my father said.

What can we do I was his beloved only child.

Evan replied him "Do not worry, Alpha. I will cherish Gabriela as she is my mate."

After some time we all went to our rooms to get ready for the party.

I had already prepared the perfect outfit for tonight. I got this little black dress with thin shoulder straps and it hugged my figure completely. The dress was little bit too short, but it outlined my slender curves in the best way possible. There was just enough cleavage, not too revealing , but it made my boobs looked intriguing. haha :)

When I get downstairs everyone's eyes was on me. Evan was looking handsome in plain black shirt that outline his perfect sculpted body.

"You are looking beautiful , Gabby."

"You are also looking handsome , Evan"

And there comes my enemy Alpha of Blood Moon Pack Alpha Valerie. He became Alpha last year after his dad and mom died in a rouge attack. Valerie immediately attacked that rouge and tear him apart.

Our parents were friends. Although I knew him since my childhood I have never been in peace after meeting him. He was always after finding a reason to start a argument with me.

He was 19 years old and yet he did not find his mate. He has on a pair of denim black trousers, a black T-shirt, and a black leather jacket over it. Everything he has on screams handsomeness and I'm not surprised at all. That's the famous Valerie Damon , Alpha of "Blood Moon Pack" and the hottest bachelor in the whole werewolf world. Not forgetting the fact all the girls in school had a crush on Valerie Damon.

He first went to greet my parents. Keeping his deep green eyes on me as he was checking me out. Evan was clenching his teeth as he was getting annoyed. Anyway who would like when someone check out their mate.

"Hello uncle and aunt. How are you doing?!"

"We are find , dear. How are you doing?! How is the pack doing?!" , my dad asked him.

"I am fine. Pack is running smoothly too. My beta is handling the duty there."

"Did you found your mate yet" , asked my mom.

"Not yet. But I will find her soon." he said looking at my direction. What is his problem?! Why does he look at me like this?!

As they talked there I started walking towards them holding Evan's hand.

"Oh! Our birthday girl is here. Valerie , when will you find your mate?! Look at our Gabriela , she found her mate at her 16th birthday."

For a moment I saw Valerie's eyes flicking . But it was disappeared in a moment.

"Oh! So finally these little rabbit found her mate" , he said to annoy me more.

He knows that I hate it when he calls me "Little Rabbit".

"Yes , Evan is my mate." , I replied him smugglingly.

"What?!"

He was so astonished. What happened to him?! I thought in my mind. Does he like me?! How is that even possible?! He never leaves a chance to piss me off.
