Has He Really Changed

Jace pulled out a chair and Lilith carefully sat down. She never thought that he could have changed but in the last few days since the welcome party Jace was showing her that he was not the same person she remembered from Eight years ago.

“ I hope you are having a wonderful time My Love.”

Lilith looked up quickly. That was the first time he had ever called her his love. Was he falling for her, or was she falling for him? She had no idea of any of her feelings. She knew right then and there that this was where she wanted to be.

“ Jace…. “ She stopped, her feelings were not straight but she knew that she was falling for Jace and wanted him to know how she was feeling. He nodded.

“ Yes, what is it?” he was looking worried. Lilith swallowed some wine to get the courage to say what she had on her mind.

“ Jace I think I'm falling for you.” Jace was about to jump out of his chair when she kept speaking.

“ I think I am also falling for Crimson as well. My feelings are still a little out of order but soon I should know what I want.”

Jace's smile went to a slightly sad face once she was done speaking. “ Well My Love, if you would allow me to walk you to your Chambers we could talk more.” Lilith nodded.

Standing he walks over and holds out his hands once more for her. She takes them willingly and wraps them both around his right arm as he escorts her to her room for the night. As they walked Jace thought of ways to hint that he had been in her dreams and that he was something more than just a Prince.

But he promised her father the day he arrived that he would not say a word.

“ Lilith I do want to apologize for how I acted the night of the party. I have loved you for so long and at that picnic I felt as if you loved me too. So I'm truly sorry for treating you like a prize.”

He lowered his head in shame. She stopped pulling him to face her. “ I will take the apology but don't look sad alright I get what you were feeling. I forgive you.”

She kisses him softly. They finally came to her door and they stood there for what seemed like forever. Jace leaned down and kissed her goodnight. “ Goodnight my love. I will see you in my dreams. Sleep well Love.” She bid him a good night and walked into her room.

" What did he mean by he will see me in his dreams?" Lilith spoke to herself. Was it Jace calling her name in her dreams or was it a coincidence that he said said this?

Lilith was too tired to think any more on the subject. The Date with Jace went very well and she had a wonderful time with him.

She had slid to the floor placing her head against the door. Thoughts of Jace danced through her head as sleep consumed her.

Lilith didn't make it to her bed she lay there with a smile on her face and love in her heart.

Lilith woke up that morning for the first time after a well-rested night. Lilith was looking forward to seeing Jace that beautiful morning. She had Mary pick out her favorite dress, It was a pale purple with a beautiful gold lace.

Once dressed she had on, Mary did her hair. She breaded Lilith's hair in beautiful braids and then piled them high on top of her head. Mary reached for Lilith's necklace that Jace had given her only a few days prior. Lilith felt ready to see Jace.

“ Mary, I'm very happy. Last night was wonderful. My feelings for Jace are unlike anything I have ever thought I would feel.” Mary was so happy to hear this news. Mary also knew that there was still Crimson lurking around in the castle. “ what are you going to do about Crimson?”

Lilith wondered the same thing. “ well I guess, I will have to go on this date and tell him how I'm feeling.”

Mary nodded. “ Mary thank you” Mary smiled and left the room with a bow. Lilith headed to breakfast with a gleaming smile that reached from one side to the other.

Once she walked in her eyes lit up when she saw him there eating. She walked over and sat down next to him. “ Good morning my Princess. I hope you slept well.” Lilith leaned over so no one could hear what she was going to say.

“ Yes, Can we talk later tonight after my date with Crimson?” Jace looked at her. “ Are you sure? Normally you don't talk alone with anyone after a date.” Lilith nodded smiling. “ you are going to want to have this talk. Right then Crimson and the king walked in chatting and laughing.

“ Good morning my dear child. I hope you were able to sleep last night. Jace you look good today.” They both looked confused.

“ Yes, Father, I was able to sleep for the first time.” She looked up to Crimson who sat down across from her.

“ Crimson Good morning I hope you have a wonderful date planned for today. We can get started after breakfast.”

Crimson spoke confidently looking at Jace. “ Yes, Lilith today is going to take your breath away. Lilith nodded trying not to give away too much of how she was feeling. She didn't want him to know that this would be his last date with her. Crimson watches as he takes a drink of wine.

He kept playing his plan over and over again. He must get the contents of the vile into her drink without her knowing and help it along so Lilith would fall in love with him right then and there. The king finally noticed that Liith was sitting with Jace and wearing his necklace.

” Lilith before you go did you choose which man you will be walking down the aisle with?” Lilith looked up at her father shocked.

“ Nothing yet Father is hoping to know by the end of this night.” The king could not hide his happiness that she was going to finally pick someone.

"Well, you two should get going. Lilith, I will see you in my study once you have returned. We will talk more then..”

King Dominic stood and walked off with much to think about. Crimson stood up and walked over to Lilith. He held out his hand, willing her to take it.

“ Come my princess, I have planned a big day for us and we must get ready to go.” Lilith nodded her head taking his hand as she stood, but before leaving she leaned down to whisper in Jace’s ear.

“ My Jace I know it's not the right time and you can not react to what I am going to say next. I think I'm starting to fall for…..” Right before she was able to finish her words she was ushered away.

“ Come come you will see him later we really must be going.” Jace was left all alone and watching them walk away together. Seeing her taken away like that made his blood boil.

He pushed away from the table and started walking the halls. Jace didn't know where he would be going or even end up.
