Chapter Four

Anyway back todays chores - All bedrooms are cleaned and all the beds are stripped and remade with clean linen and blankets, the showers prepared - the soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers are full, there are fresh laundered face washers and towels, the Laundry is prepared for the all washing to be done aka dirty bed linen, dirty clothes from the pack from training, the dirty towels and face washers etc. Then the dining hall is set up and finally breakfast cooked. By this time the pack is coming back from training and it’s time to serve breakfast and endure their “compliments” after that I must clean the dinning hall and kitchen , grab whatever left overs there is to eat for my own breakfast then do all the dishes, then clean all the showers and gather the dirty washing, put on the laundry and rush up to my room to quickly shower and get ready for the day – school or Saturday chores. If you are wondering there are rotating roster of omegas who work with me but I didn’t get to rotate thanks to the bastard of an Elder of my pack (my adoptive paternal grandfather), so I did this every morning except for Sundays as that was family day, everyone was to spend time with their families and well do things for themselves.

To get to school I have to bike an 1.5hrs to get to school and home so it 3 hours in travel five days a week what fun right! but I love school it’s the only place besides the castle where being different from the pack doesn’t affect me as much and where I can hang out with my brothers.  Ric who just turned 18, the Triplets - Dom, Trae and Eli are 17 and a half and finally the twins - Sky and Jace 16 but 17 in 2 weeks. Oh did I mention that werewolves are only pregnant for 4 months? Oh and I am almost 16 just in case you were wondering.

 At school my brothers are viewed as the Greek Gods every wants to be with or like and look at me like some fungus hanging with the Grecian gods but doesn’t affect me or them. Plus I like to dress respectfully and not show off my body like the other girls, I am not ashamed of what the goddess blessed me with but I am not putting it on display simple! Sadly this is high school and I have always been bullied, because I enjoy learning and I always have very high marks to the points but not just academically I am also very athletic, and enjoy all the extra circular classes as well but I still got dubbed the nerdiest nerd in my grade but I guess that means I’ll be a billionaire while they will be the high school janitors or something like that right?

Some of the other kids here can be really stupid like Jade for example, she is a pack member and is always giving me a hard time whenever she can plus she is convinced that Prince Ric (my eldest brother and next Alpha King) is her mate and she is the next Luna Queen, she is 17 and he is 18 so if she really was my brother’s mate the whole pack would have known on my brother’s 18th birthday – there was a massive celebration thrown at the castle (so I could attend and get around one of those stupid conditions cause Ric is the future ruler so the elders where there).

Werewolves are blessed by the moon goddess with a fated mate, one who will complete them on all levels including their wolf, its like the moon goddess knows who is your other half of your soul and your mate loves and accepts everything about you including your faults and flaws. When the wolf within reaches full maturity which is age 16 for females and age 18 for males;  Werewolves can smell the scent their mate which is irresistible and leads them to find each other and upon eye contact the bond of fate is realised and usually mates will then growl loudly calling ‘mate’ to acknowledge each other.

Anyway the silly brat likes to tease me whether in the pack lands or at school, telling me I am inferior to her and once she is Queen I will be banished or put to death just depends on how much I piss her off blah blah blah but the silly girl hasn’t noticed Ric is never far from me, as the eldest he is the most protective of me out of all my brothers. Jade  however seems to think Ric’s growls of displeasure at seeing his baby sister being bullied by her are growls of his “undying affection” and “praise” then wonders why she is reprimanded to omega duties.

 The high school we all attend is on human land but this is done so we can blend into their society and know how to interact with humans while keeping the supernatural world hidden, it is a added bonus for my brothers and I, as here we can freely acknowledge each other as family and I am free of the conditions of me residing with pack, it really the only place I feel free outside of pack lands. Like I said earlier it is the only place where I can hang with my brothers and friends. Let me introduce my best friends and their families. First is Lalita, she’s strong, beautiful, fast and deadly like lightening. We have grown up together as she is the only child of the Royal Beta the fierce Serafina, childhood best friend of the Queen Bella Crescent and Trainer to my brother Prince Dom as he the next Royal Beta.

            Then there is the fraternal twin daughters of the Royal Gamma and Delta, Minamei or Mia as we call her is the elder of twins, Mia looks like her mums side of the family but she’s like her dad, they are both very strategical, mathematical and logical. Mia doesn’t have a lot of friends apart from Rini, Lalita and her younger twin sister due her studies. Mia is very studious she dreams of becoming a healer like her grandmother who she is named after.  Trista is the younger twin she looks like her dad’s side of the family but is more like her mum intuitive, nature oriented and loyal to a fault. Trista was named after her late grandfather Tristian who was the Beta to King Joseph, Queen Bella’s Father (my grandfather). She wants to be able to peruse the arts, literature and music something that her grandfather was passionate about. She also hates my brother Elias don’t put them to close they fight like wolves over food, even as kids those two have never gotten along ever since they were little.

Traditionally the title and duties of Royal Beta, Royal Gamma, Royal Delta, are traditionally passed down through the family – From parent to eldest childen technically Lalita, Mia, Trista were to follow their parents footsteps however my parents changed this ancient tradition after they adopted me, which gave the girls a choice  to make when they were 10 years of age to either start training or give the Future Alpha Kin, Ric the choice of choosing his future Royal Beta, Royal Gamma, Royal Delta who would then start their training until it was time for Ric to ascend the throne as King. As you may of guess the girls gave up their birthrights and Ric choose the triplets to become his Beta, Gamma and Delta but he also created two new royal positions which are Chief Strategist and Chief Warrior these positions would be filled by the Twin Princes Tylar and Jasper. As Ric believed the twins would be perfect for the positions and they would be trained in a new and unique way, by grandfather who faced many battles and wars with won through strategy or by might, plus grandfather loved to study history of ancient conquerors who won through bloodless coupes and bloody wars.
