Riley didn’t understand why he was so wound up. He was always so calm and collected, but right now he was…anxious? Tense? Was he mad about what had happened with Chloe? Was he holding himself responsible for his daughter getting hurt? Was he frustrated for not being there? Did he feel guilty?
She wanted to assure him that he’d done more than what a regular parent could’ve done in that situation. That he had rushed to her side as soon as possible and taken absolute care of her ever since that moment, which was everything he did every moment of his life.
