When the jet landed, Riley instantly felt overwhelmed by the heat. It was scorching hot outside, much hotter than she had expected. She was starting to regret wearing a full-sleeved blouse and black jeans. Maybe she should’ve listened to Chloe when she suggested she change into something more suitable for the weather. But then again, New York City rarely got this warm during September.
