“Do you have a minute?” He asked her suddenly, breaking the silence between them, surprising her. “We need to talk.”
But before she could even process his request, the answer was already spilling from her mouth. “Of course. What’s up?”
He smiled slightly before motioning towards his study on the first floor. “Let’s sit somewhere comfortable.”
She nodded mutely and followed after him, trying not to think about how weird it felt when he placed his hand on the small of her back to guide her forward. They walked side by side towards the room, neither of them saying anything else until they reached their destination.
Once inside, Sebastian closed the door behind them and sat down opposite her. He leaned forward, placing his elbows on top of the desk, resting them on the surface.
