Riley was always the last to finish her shift at the diner. Usually, it was because she cleaned up the whole place before leaving, but tonight, it was because she didn’t want to go home yet. She felt odd for some reason, as if something was wrong, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. So, what Riley did next was to push that feeling down and focus on her job. She wiped the tables clean and washed the dishes before putting them back in their proper places. She swept the floor and mopped it until it was shiny enough for her boss to approve.
