“What are you doing here?”
I asked her, my voice coming out sharper than I intended.
I didn’t look at her. I couldn’t. I didn’t want anyone seeing me like this. Looking so broken, furious, and drained.
I turned my face away, clinging to whatever scraps of dignity I had left. My body trembled faintly, still shuddering from the sudden shift earlier and causing havoc from this place.
