Syria’s POV The next morning, I woke up and immediately noticed the empty space beside me. My eyes widened, and I quickly sat up in bed. The last thing I remembered was falling asleep next to him. He had his arms wrapped around me from behind, his breath warm against my ear as he whispered something I couldn’t quite recall now. But he was definitely here last night. And now… he’s gone? My heart jumped a little. I scanned the room in confusion, about to get out of bed when the door suddenly opened. He walked in, holding a tray. I blinked a few times, unsure if I was still dreaming.
