Syria’s POV I froze. A chill ran down my spine. A horrible thought crept into my mind. I didn’t want to think it, let alone believe it. Could my uncle have killed them? I turned my head slowly and looked at him. He was waiting for my reaction, watching me closely. But I shook my head, rejecting the idea. That couldn't be true. As twisted as my uncle was, I couldn’t bring myself to believe he would go that far. Murder his own wife and children? No. He might be ruthless, but I knew he still had limits. At least, I hoped he did. Still, my heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to explode. My palms were clammy, and cold sweat trickled down the side of my face. I tried to stay strong, to hold myself together. "What did you do to them?!" But he didn’t answer
