Syria’s POV I had witch powers. I barely had time to wrap my head around any of it when I suddenly heard a voice speak behind me. “Impressive.” I froze instantly. He stepped out from between the trees. The way he walk with an arrogance so casual it made my stomach twist in disgust. He was watching me the whole time. He wasn’t alone. There were several guards following him. Angus looked at me with an expression that hovered between amusement and something darker, like he was almost entertained that I was still alive. I glared back at him, trying to hold onto whatever waste of defiance I could muster.
