Soon the fog shifted and Egan's fierce presence started to become visible to everyone bit by bit. The last ray of the setting sun fell on the scales of the black dragon, under which Egan's entire body kind of shimmered for the last time for the day, ever so menacingly. Draco was standing not so far from the dragon but even so, it seemed that Egan was still keeping up his guard for some reason, as his repetitive but low growls kept coming out of his throat from time to time, while Egan bothered least to take his eyes off of his master even for a second, fearing that the King might do something if he does not keep his careful watch, all the time. It did not take much time for everyone to realise why the dragon was behaving like this way as no one had ever seen Egan being so very cautious
