CHAPTER 13 Frank Kruger, his thinning hair nicely parted and his tie-knot properly tied, his arms folded across his broad chest. His office wall clock showed seven-thirty AM. He'd been on the go since daybreak. He now sat at his deck in conference with Sergeant Rodden and Inspector Ziegler who sat across the desk from him. They paused while Sonia brought in a tray of coffee and a plate of cake cut in slices. She filled the cups and nodded to the cake. "A spot of breakfast, gentlemen? Help yourselves. Home-made," she smiled. Kruger waved a hand. "No thanks." "It can't be worse than her coffee," Lars whispered to Ziegler and chose a slice. She overheard the remark.
