Lilith did not know what to do. Her guts tell her that somebody knew where she was. The thought that somebody was watching her like a hawk from miles could make the hair on her back rise.
Her right hand flew to the glove compartment where her spare cheap phone was. She reminded her biological father once to always keep a spare phone. She was glad he followed her orders.
Rob's face flashed in her mind. She tried to push and shut down her conscience but it was spreading to her. She felt guilty, but she did not have any choice.
“I have no other else to go to, so,” she whispered, staring at the phone in her hand. She was convincing herself that what she was thinking of doing was right.
She dialed the number that always creeps her out. This was the last option through her plans.
