Chapter 4. A little closer

1173 Words
For the first time in a very long time, Elora’s mom did not have to scream for her to wake up. She woke up very early in a very good mood, she got up from her bed and went straight to look for what to wear. After turning her wardrobe upside down, she picked a pink armless gown with the new leather jacket her mom recently got her. She rushed to the bathroom to brush her teeth and to also take her bath, when she was done, she dried herself and quickly dressed up. She brushed her hair down and used a very pretty hair clip on it,picked up her earrings that she had abandoned for a while and wore them, she then sprayed her body spray all over her body, picked up her books and packed them up into her bag and went downstairs. Her mom looked at her and was surprised to see her up so early. “Is there something going on in school today?” Her mum asked while flipping the pancake. Elora was about answering when her dad walked towards them and joined her to sit. “Good morning daddy”, she greeted. “Good morning my princess, how’re you doing this lovely morning, you’re up quite early and you seem to be in a very good mood today, is there any special thing going on?” Her dad asked smiling. Elora smiled and said nothing, she knew the reason behind everything but she did not want to admit it “Christian”. The thought of seeing him again today after everything that happened the day before made getting ready for school feel different for her that day. Her mom served breakfast and they all ate. They finished eating in no time, she and dad stood up to leave then her dad kissed her mom on her forehead and her belly. Elora stood there and found herself smiling. She has always admired how her parents loved each other and how they also loved her and that was the type of love she has always wanted. She and dad got into the car and her dad drove her to school. They soon got to her school and her dad kissed her forehead and told her he loves her and she waved him goodbye. She saw Celine waiting for her, she rushed up to meet her and they both made their way into the school building. “So did you dream about your Prince Charming last night?” Celine asked grinning. “No I did not” she replied “Common, You don’t have to be shy about it” Celine said smiling mischievously. “Stopp it Celine”, she said trying hard not to blush. They eventually got to class and they saw Christian already in class. “Your Prince Charming is already here” Celine said and went to sit. Elora rushed to her chair trying to hide her red face. Their teacher came in for class and soon the bell rang. It was break time and they both stood up to head to the cafeteria and they had just stepped out of the classroom when they heard her name. “Elora” They both turned and saw Christian and Daniel. “Hii Christian, Hi Daniel” Elora greeted while Celine waved to say hi too “How’re you feeing today?” She asked. “I’m very well, thanks for asking and also thank you guys for coming to check up on me yesterday” he replied. “Ohh, it’s no problem at all, I’m glad you’re feeling much better now, we’re heading over to the cafeteria incase you’d like to join us”. He looked at Daniel and nodded and they all went down together. They collected their meals and sat together. Elora was feeling a wave of excitement running through her. Just a while back, she could not even say hi to him let alone talk to him but here he was sitting and eating on the same table with her. She could hardly eat her food and kept on stealing glances at Christian. He was actually seeing all of this and he smiled softly. “Are you going to eat your food or you’re going to keep staring at me all day?” He asked. “I was not staring at you” Elora replied looking down. He chuckled and continued eating. They soon finished up and were walking out when Elora slipped and almost fell down. Christian caught her just in time before she fell. “Oh my God, thank you”. She exclaimed. “You’re welcome, watch your steps so you don’t trip again” he replied straightening her up. She melted right there and did not want to let go. “I’ll see you guys in class” He said and left with Daniel. “Prince charming saved the princess just in time” Celine said and laughed so hard “His hands are so warm” Elora replied with her face almost busting from blushing. “I saw how you melted, let’s get going, we don’t wanna be late for class” Celine said again smiling The girls ran along and went to class and Elora could barely concentrate in class. She just wanted the class to be over as soon as possible. The class finally came to an end and everyone started packing up, preparing to leave. Elora tried to pack her hair properly and her hair clip fell. She wanted to pick it up but Christian beat her to it. “Should I help you put it on?” He asked in a very soft tone. Elora nodded in agreement and he helped her put it on. “That’s a very beautiful hair clip you have there” He complimented. “Thank you” she quickly replied and turned to leave with Celine. “Won’t you tell me goodbye before you leave?” “Byeee” she said without turning back and ran out with Celine. Elora’s dad was already waiting for her in front of the school. The girls got in and greeted her dad. “How was school today, hope you guys had a wonderful day at school?” “Yes we did” Elora replied slightly hugging her dad and he started the car. They dropped Celine off and went home. When they got home, she said hi to her mum, took a glass of water and grabbed the popcorn her mom made for her before going upstairs to her room. She undressed and unpacked then sat up on her bed munching on her popcorn and smiling. Her mind ran back to how Christian picked up her hair clip and helped her clip it right back on her hair and how he also complimented it, she was literally squealing with joy. She dropped the popcorn on the desk and decided to take a nap. She soon dozed off out of excitement.
