Briar I stared at Finn, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst out of my chest. His face was a storm of emotions - anger, disbelief, and underneath it all, a fierce protectiveness that made my throat tighten. "I can explain," I started, but Finn cut me off with a sharp gesture.
