I arrived at the bar right on schedule, immediately spotting Ethan at the table as planned. But my eyes narrowed when I saw Selena and her gaggle of friends crowded around him, giggling and preening.
"What the hell, man?" I hissed, pulling Ethan aside. "Why are they here?"
Ethan raised an eyebrow, looking far too pleased with himself. "Relax, man. They're our cover. Two grown men skulking around a bar? Suspicious as hell. But a group out for a good time? Perfect camouflage."
I gritted my teeth. He had a point, but that didn't mean I had to like it. "Fine. But they don't know why we're really here, right?"
