⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ I woke up with a major headache. My wolf, however, was practically wiggling around, trying to break free. My skin felt tingly and I was having a hard time concentrating on my surroundings. I rubbed my eyes, trying to clear the fog from my head, but the headache was still pounding away. Despite the pain, I had a sensation of energy coursing through me, like I could do anything. I was determined to make the most of this strange feeling. "So, the deer talker is the one who claimed my wolf?" Quickly, I snarled, whipping my head to the side to stare into the most striking green eyes I had ever seen. I could hear the sudden intake of his breath as we locked eyes, our faces closer than I could have ever imagined possible. "Mate." My wolf barked, startling me out of my thoughts. The man was a hulking figure of sorts, coal-black hair stuck up in waves, outlining the eyeliner that made his eyes more captivating. His jaw was set, and his lips were drawn in a tight line as if he was waiting for me to respond. I could feel his gaze burning into me, and I knew he was expecting something of me. He was a force to be reckoned with, standing there, looming over me. "At least the moon goddess gave me someone very different from the others. The she-wolves here bore me to death." I felt my wolf snarl at this comment, clearly unhappy that any female had ever been around him. I wasn't used to this feeling so I blinked once, breaking the hold on both of us. I had to remind myself that I was here for a reason, that there was a purpose for this otherwise uncomfortable meeting. "Why did you kidnap me?" I looked at him accusingly out of the corner of my eye. I could feel the captivating aura around him, and it was mouthwatering. Something about him just radiates... dominant. "You trespassed and killed on my parents' land." Inwardly I gulped. My mate was a wolf, but I was as well, though not entirely, and I could be dead for trespassing. I guess I had to play my cards right to get out of this. I couldn't have a mate, not if I could kill him. "I will go. I'm sorry." I made the motion of him moving out of my way so that I could get up but he didn't. "You cannot leave. You are my mate. You live with me now." I watched as he slowly but surely stood off the stool he was sitting on. Now that he was out of the way, I could see that I was in a hospital of sorts. But it was elaborate. Green leaves surrounded the base of the walls, lit up with tiny bulbs that highlighted the golden-plastered walls. Though they were slightly darker in the shade which was helpful, considering it would have hurt anyone's eyes. The beds were lined with what looked like moss strands hanging on the edges. The sheets were patterned in gold and white, almost too expensive for anyone to afford. Everywhere I looked, the detail of the room was stunning as if it were built with the utmost care and attention to create an atmosphere of luxurious comfort. "Where am I?" I finally asked, glancing at the man beside me. "And who are you?" His brow raised as I seemed to question him. Clearly, he did not like to be interrogated but I was too lost to appease his standards, nor did I care about them. Before he could answer, the doors opened. A woman dressed in dark beige walked in. Her clothes seemed too royal for my taste but maybe that was the theme around here. "My prince." The lady bowed and I found myself speechless and staring at him with wide eyes. "Is the she-wolf awake?" Right after her question, her eyes met my gaze and she seemed to double-take. Her body fell onto the floor and from the looks of it, she began to seize. "Oh my goddess, someone help her!" My instincts kicked in and I was shoving my mate to the side with extra help from my dragon as I ran to the floor, pinning her arms at her side and using my legs to pin her thighs down so she wouldn't hurt herself. I knew that I had to act quickly, so I did not hesitate to take action and restrain her, ensuring her safety and protecting her from further harm. "Why are you standing there? Help me!" I shouted at my mate behind me. However, when I turned around, my mate was watching me, sipping a glass of water that had been by my bedside. I looked back down below me and was shocked to see the lady staring back at me as though nothing had happened. "Miss, if you will be so kind as to let me go, I would greatly appreciate it." Heat crept up my neck and towards my face as I let go. Feeling confused about why I seemed to have overreacted, I let go. "Are you alright?" I sat back and smiled just slightly as both of us asked the same question at the same time. "Miss, it was nothing. I am the pack Seer. What you saw was merely a vision." That was strange. I had never heard of a pack Seer being among the ranks except for what I had heard about in stories about the ancient wolf packs that once roamed these lands. "Where am I?" I avoided answering back as I looked between the two of them, clearly lost. "You are in the home of King Raja and Queen Lumina of the Wolves. That there is Prince Kai, heir to the throne and Alpha of the Crescent Pack."
