Chapter:3

The next day Joseph drove us to his office in his favourite car. It was the very first car he bought with his earnings. The man let me in his special car it’s crazy. I would never let anyone near my first car or some prized procession of mine. As we reached he went into meetings while I started running background checks on all the people Joseph or Jacobs interacted with. Joseph as well because we wanted to see if there was any common link to connect them together.

02:00 PM

I was working when I heard a knock on my door. I allowed whoever was knocking to come in to find Joseph standing there with pizza boxes in his hand and two cans of root beer.

"Wanna give me company to eat?" He asked and I looked at the time. I nodded and joined him taking a slice. As we ate we spoke about random things and were actually laughing together as well.

"People call you ruthless and arrogant but I don't think I've seen that side of yours yet. But considering it’s only my second day here…" I asked him while taking another bite.

"I'm not I have to be if I want to protect my multi - billion dollar business empire. I started it and brought it to what it is today so I have to protect it"

I nodded my head in understanding. Soon we finished and he walked out of my office to get to work while I returned to do mine. I had secretly installed spy cameras all over Jacobs building and I'm thinking of installing a few in Joseph's surroundings as well because he might have his own cameras but I wanted mine that no one could corrupt if they wanted to. One more reason they gave me this mission was because I was an anonymous hacker. I could hack into anything without other people knowing about it.

I started working on a software that would protect the cameras data and my laptop. I kept updating my security and also changed the password everyday. It would be really difficult for someone to hack into my computer I also installed a back door incase someone did trespass my computer I would get an immediate discreet notification and all the data on my computer would automatically get stored to a single file and create illusional data for the hacker to see. I liked being well prepared in all case scenarios.

08:00 PM

I kept working on my other small cases when Joseph came in. I looked at my watch, oh we have to go. I silently got up packing away my things while he waited without saying a word. I installed a bug in Joseph's laptop I don't know why but I have a feeling my original target in not my real target.

We came back to his humongous house and I ran off to the room to get some sleep. I've had spent nights before this case working on finding a murderer who killed his wife and two daughters. He buried them in such horrifying places one couldn't imagine. He put his daughters in kerosene water tanks. We had to drain them before getting out the girls bodies. But the wife he buried her a few feet away who was pregnant with his child again. That case had so many loopholes like it was clear as day that he killed her. But the process went on for a little while like weeks before he finally got convicted.

I'm a secret agent of ISC but I also need to have a cover up in the real world so I'm a cop for New York City department. The cover up is good. I have a reason to carry a gun if I’m anytime by mistake caught with it. I handle the smaller cases faster so I can work on the high profile ones with ease. Today I was supposed to be setting out the information of a murder case. A woman murdered her family to gain property for her new husband. I don't understand how people switch from one partner to another just like that. If I find the one for me I'll be with him until the endgame whether he's good or bad. He's the endgame for me. I was thinking too hard not even realising when sleep took over me.
