To hear Hugo state that they’d all be leaving for his pack tomorrow, that had been of a great shock to him. There had been no discussion about that at all, not with him and certainly not with he and Leigh together. Brax also didn’t think that Leigh would just go and agree to something like that herself. Hugo, it seemed, had made this decision all on his own.
Brax had put a hand on the man when he’d seen him come from Leigh’s suite; which was now across from his, that afternoon, he had been prowling out there wanting a word with him about it. He didn’t want to force Leigh into doing something she wasn’t willing to do. “Hugo, you shouldn’t push her like this. There is plenty of time,” he told the man.
“No there isn’t.” Hugo had stated simply, “I also told you she’d need a push.” H
