His Shy Omega

Chapter 7

—Rosertina POV—

    I was walking around trying to help others here and there but everyone would shoo me away saying I needed to take a break. Yeah my life is so hard. I rolled my eyes as another set of women shooed me off. So I did what came naturally. I went for a run letting Ritae have the reigns and wander wherever her heart took her. There weren’t many times she was able to do so, so I let her free. Feeling my bones crack and reshape was always a welcoming feeling. The bond I shared with Ritae was a special one. Not everyone knew this but I was able to shift into my wolf at five years old, before our parents were killed. It wasn’t long after I shifted that they passed but my mom has taught me enough about keeping my shifts hidden until I turned 16 that it didn’t take much to go out and run without anyone noticing. 

   In the passed few days Ritae has become restless but she wouldn’t tell me why. I would sometimes wake up to find myself at the entrance to the community and in wolf form, sitting, waiting for something to come, or someone. It was pretty dangerous to let the wolf have that much control over their host’s body but I trusted her enough to allow it.

   I left my brother with Alpha Linx and Luna Trista after we had a mid morning/afternoon snack. My brother has a few more things he has wanted to talk to the two about, saying it was a surprise for me.  As I sat back in my mind watching the trees race by, knowing that she was taking us to the waterfall, I thought about what kind of surprise he cooked up for me this time. Over the years he has done some pretty outrageous things for my birthdays. One of the years had been a scavenger hunt that I found things over the span of a week. Another had been a water balloon party that I was splashed every single time I wasn’t expecting anything. It ended up being nice since my birthday is in the middle of summer so being dissed with water was actually kinda nice. 

   As we made our way through the forest sounds of birds chirping, and squirrels skittering about playing as they ran through the trees, Ritae ran at a steady pace. Before I know it we stood before the waterfall watching it’s majestic cascade fall into the river below it. I found it quite funny that she chose this place to come even though Great Mother Earth wasn’t here. She and the moon goddess being sisters always meant that they would be arriving during the night. 

   I didn’t mind coming here. I too always found it very peaceful. Since there was nothing else we could do except for watch the water, Ritae laid down in a sunny spot on the bank. All too soon we fell asleep, dreaming of our future mate, whom we are hopefully going to meet soon. 

   We feel so deeply into sleep we didn’t notice the danger lurking nearby. 

— Victoria POV— 

   It is very hard to find people when you need them, and then surprisingly easy when you don’t. Rosertina was no where to be found. I knew that she didn’t have any training on the docet for today but that didn’t mean that she wasn’t going to train on her own. She had the concentration of an eagle but it only lasted for so long. I am the same way. Just on a much bigger scale. I wouldn’t say that I have ADHD but it was pretty darn close.  It is why I have such a hard time remembering and finding things. And people. Especially people. I can turn around and spot a shiny object, turn back around and forget who I was with and what I was doing. 

   At this point though, I wasn’t going to become side tracked. I was looking for Rosertina upon hearing that the Healer was up and at it. Knowing this I checked the pack house, both of them, and didn’t find her there. I then went to the training grounds thinking that she went to go see her brother, mr. yumsiccles, but to my disappointment, didn’t see either of them. Now I sat on a rock hugging my disappointment at my lack of success, I pondered where else she would be. I was so engrossed in my thoughts I didn’t sense the presence behind me, nearly jumping out of my skin. 

   I feel none too gracefully off the rock on my left side making me wince. I grumbled as I got off the ground, ready to give the annoying person a piece of my mind when I looked up to find Mr. Talldarkandhandsome, my anger disappeared. 

   “Are you okay Vic?” His voice sounded like warm butter on hot waffles. Waffles were so much better then pancakes. They had abs. So did he. He wasn’t wearing a shirt and I appreciated the view very much. I was caught staring since he chuckled at me before bending over and offering his hand down to help me up. 

   My cheeks heated up in embarrassment, after remembering this morning, before tentatively reaching up to grab his hand. 

   He closed his first around my hand making it look small. It was part of the reason I was so attracted to him. I am not a small woman by any means but he has the ability to make me feel delicate and I was turned on by that so f*****g much. He pulled me up easily and I over calculated my trajectory making me smack up against his chest. 

    I don’t know how long we stood there for but I heard a cat call not too far off, causing my cheeks to burn bright red I’m sure. I jumped away and fixed my clothes brushing the dirt and leaves off my ass. 

    “You didn’t answer my question.”

    I startled again and looked up at him. I swallowed to try and wet my throat. I didn’t trust my voice so I spoke in a whisper.

     “I’m fine. Thanks.”

     He raised an eyebrow at me and a smirk formed on his lips. 

     I say we jump him. Should we jump him yes we should. 

     Wolf we are not jumping him. We don’t know yet if he is our mate or not.

     Jump. 

    No.

    Come on.... jump him!!!!

      No god just shut up already. 

      I cut off the link and saw Chance has moved us out of sight behind the tree line close to the practice grounds. My arousal kicked into high gear when I saw how secluded we were. Looking up into his eyes I noticed he was bending down to reach my face. Thump thump. 

    My heart beat sped up as he brushed, ever so slightly, his lips against my ear. 

    “Are you sure? You seem to be in need of mouth to mouth resuscitation. You look s if you are about to pass out.”

    “Oh fuck.”  I was so turned on I was shaking as he pressed himself ever so much closer nearly pinning me to the tree with his body. 

   Just as he was about to kiss me a scream rang through the woods. 

Hey it’s your author here..... I’M SO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG. Hope you enjoyed the chapter. With the holidays come up I have been crazier then a crazy person in an insane asylum. Sorry if it a little short too but I wanted to at least get something to you guys thank you so much for your support you all are amazing.
