"LUCY GET up already! We need to leave soon!" The excited voice of Lucy's roommate was one that was oddly out of place at six thirty in the morning. Normally, Kendra would be the one hiding under the covers, but now her roommate was practically bouncing off the walls, already dressed, including the spare pair of riding boots that Lucy had lent her (a favor in response to Kendra's nonstop complaining of how she didn't want to ruin her only pair of white sneakers that she had worn to the barn the first time).
