THE DOOR WAS STILL open on Thursday when Lucy showed up for work, so she took that as a good sign.
"Hey," Lucy said when she walked into the office, hoping not to discuss anything about their dispute on Sunday, or the show.
They hadn't spoken about it during chem lab on Wednesday, but then again, they had had something else to keep them preoccupied. And now...not so much.
And Lucy couldn't have even said that she was surprised when the first thing out of Elise's mouth was, "Look, I never fully got a chance to explain myself on Sunday," without even acknowledging Lucy's greeting.
"Elise, it's fine," Lucy said, "You don't need to explain yourself."
And she didn't know what else she could or couldn't keep herself from saying, so she walked out of the office without saying anything else,
