LUCY'S FRIDAY MORNING shift at the coffee shop was almost over. Just ten more minutes, and then I can head back and sleep, Lucy sighed as she watched the singular clock in the small coffee shop tick above the door. She thought back to two weeks ago when she'd looked at her schedule to find that she'd actually been given a day off for no reason at all.
