The night was spent tossing and turning, second-guessing every decision about the arrangement, my clothes, the coffee service, everything! All morning was ridiculous—too nervous to eat, fussing endlessly with my hair and makeup, spending too much time choosing a perfume. I wait for Daniel, giddy and silly, as if, instead of arranging a human stud service, it’s my first date with a new lover.
