It’s been a long and frustrating few weeks dealing with this media firestorm surrounding Bella and my divorce. I had a long-standing rule of never bending to a media frenzy, especially when it was sensationalized. I have learned the more energy and resources you spend responding to a negative story, the more attention you bring to it and suddenly your response now becomes the story. That is what I told Isabella. My thought was that the media would just move on to the next scandal, but I miscalculated how much traction this story would receive.
