The following two weeks went by relatively smoothly without any drama, which brought me peace. I didn’t realize how much I craved the peace and quiet of everyday life. I didn’t have to deal with mafia business, kidnapped husbands, unseemly propositions, and cheating husbands. I buried myself in my work. Carmen and the team were able to pull off a decent showing at London’s fashion week. The critics said that the clothes were edgy but understated, which gave the cool, breezy “I don’t care” fashion that is in style right now. All in all, Rinascita had now established ourselves in the who’s who of men’s fashion, which was extremely gratifying. I was so proud.
