I was woken up from the glare of the sunlight starting to peak through the curtains of the double French doors that led to the balcony from the master suite. Bella and I were still in bed. I took a quick look at the clock on top of the side table on her side of the bed and saw it was 8:14 am, which was a little shocking to me as I hadn’t slept this late into the day in a very long time, even though it was a Saturday, and I didn’t have to go into the office. Bella was lying on top of me with her head on my chest. It appeared she must have felt me stirring as she instinctually tightened her arms around me, and I wrapped mines around her waist, and I lightly kissed the crown of her head.
