I couldn’t believe that I was no longer married to Victor. The finality of that statement was extremely devastating to me. At the time, while in his office four days ago, I wanted to prove to him that I would sign the divorce papers without hesitation, stubbornly one upping him as we were prone to doing to each other. But Victor said he had a grand plan. He was letting me go but had all intentions of earning back my heart for good and this time around I was to consent to all of it, from start to finish.
