Chapter 5 We were standing outside the bus station a few hours later. It was dark. We were in a seedy part of town. I got the chills despite it still being mostly warm out. Only in San Francisco is it cold in the summer. I didn’t miss it. I didn’t miss any of it. I also didn’t like being in Detroit, though. Or at least the reason for our visit. “You need some sort of closure?” I asked him as we stood there. “Maybe it’ll help with…everything.” I nodded. “Will they be glad to see you?” He didn’t reply.
