Nyx's Pov
We pulled up in the driveway and I felt my knees weaken. I didn't even do much and I was already exhausted. I needed sleep. Caspian opened the driver's seat door, climbed down and came to open my door.
His bodyguards had already carried my bags and they were heading upstairs when I felt his eyes on me. I turned to look at him. A thank you wouldn't be bad. He did get me clothes.
“Thank you for the clothes and shoes. I really appreciate them.” He studied me for a while before nodding his head.
“Are you heading out?”
“Yes actually. I have to go. There's something urgent I have to take care of.” I felt my heart clench then I realized I wanted him to stay.
“Okay.” I replied, lowering my head. This was just an arrangement. I shouldn't be feeling this way.
