They all follow him up to the steps of the house, where a smashed glass was on the porch. That didn't really stand out to any of them at the time, maybe when they were moving they dropped it and hadn't got around to cleaning it up yet. Shane knocks on the front door twice while the others begin to try and look in the windows, only to discover the curtains had been shut. When they didn't get an answer after around twenty seconds, Shane knocks once again this time much harder than before. He even leans down opening the letter box but didn't see anyone.
