ASHLEY'S POV The scent of freshly made coffee filled my apartment as I sang to myself in the kitchen. I'd been wearing Michael's hoodie, the one he left behind last week, I hadn't even realized I was wearing it until I caught a glimpse of myself in the microwave door. I smiled. God, I felt light today. Free, even. Like my body remembered what it meant to feel safe.
