The backyard was a whirlwind of activity as final touches were put in place for the twins' birthday party. I stood near the large white tent, watching as Adrianna’s mom and his own bustled around, setting up tables, hanging decorations, and making sure everything looked perfect.
Adrianna, being as stubborn as ever, was attempting to help, despite being seven months pregnant with their baby girl. Every time she bent down or tried to lift something, one of the moms would scold her, sending her back to her chair under the shade.
"Adrianna, sit down before I make you," I called over to her, arms crossed as he raised an eyebrow.
