Perimeter check is the only duty I truly enjoy. I meet with the three other troops and we all take our quadrants. Ofcourse we always have troops stationed at checkpoints, but we do runs 4 times a day to just check for anything suspicious in between. We are a very dominant pack and have not have any real troubles with rogues and raids, but when the lives of so many are in your hands, you leave no room for error. I send one to the south, north and east, and I take the west. I shift swiftly and start my run. I love how the cool night air blows through my dense blonde fur. My senses are heightened and I can hear everything. The leave crushing under me, the cricket chirping, the wind whipping the tree tops. I can smell a rabbit 500 feet to my right.
