“I’ll be right there!” Ellie called out when the doorbell rang. She hadn’t expected them so soon, and had still been in bed when they arrived. She hurried to the door and, wrapping her housecoat around her, threw it open. “Ellie Sullivan?” The delivery man asked boredom etched on his face. “That’s me!” she smiled, brightly. “Sign here.” He thrust a clipboard out to her. Then as she passed it back to him “Thanks.” “Have a great day!” Ellie called out then bolted the door and brought the box to the table. Having promised Poppy she wouldn’t open it before she arrived, Ellie sat with her chin in her hands. It was going to be a long morning.
