EPISODE 7: THE NIGHTMARE

1130 Words
Robert woke up with a start, gasping for breath. He had just had a horrible nightmare, one that he couldn't shake. In his dream, he had seen his wife, Sarah, lying on the ground, hurt and alone. He had tried to help her, but he couldn't reach her, and she had faded away into nothingness. He was troubled that morning, and he sat up in bed, his heart pounding, and tried to calm himself down. But the image of Sarah in his dream wouldn't leave his mind. He felt like something was wrong, like something bad was about to happen. The feeling of dread stayed with Robert all day. He couldn't concentrate on work, and he kept finding himself thinking about Sarah. He tried to call her, but she didn't answer. He sent her a text, but she didn't respond. He became more and more worried, and he decided to drive to her house. When he pulled up in front of her house, he saw that the lights were off and the curtains were drawn. He knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He tried the doorbell, but still no one came. He started to panic, and he didn't know what to do. Robert pulled out his phone and called 911. He told the dispatcher that he was worried about his wife and that he couldn't get in touch with her. The dispatcher sent a police officer to Sarah's house to do a welfare check. When the officer arrived, he knocked on the door and called out for Sarah, but there was no response. He tried the door, but it was locked. He went around to the back of the house and peered in the windows, but the curtains were drawn and he couldn't see anything. He radioed for backup and waited for the other officers to arrive. A few minutes later, two more police officers arrived. They went to the back of the house and peered in the windows, just like the first officer had done. But this time, one of the officers saw something in the kitchen. He radioed to the others, "I think I see something on the floor." The officers made their way to the front door, and one of them used a battering ram to break it down. They rushed inside and saw Sarah lying on the floor, unconscious. They called for an ambulance, and it arrived a few minutes later. The paramedics rushed Sarah to the hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU. Robert followed the ambulance, feeling sick with worry. When he got to the hospital, he went to the front desk and asked for information about Sarah. The receptionist told him that he would have to wait for the doctor to update him. He sat in the waiting room, his mind racing. He replayed the events of the day over and over in his head, trying to figure out what had happened to Sarah. After what felt like an eternity, the doctor finally came out to talk to him. The doctor told Robert that Sarah had been found unconscious in her home, and that she had sustained a head injury. She was still unconscious and was being treated by the hospital staff. Robert asked the doctor what had caused the head injury, but the doctor said he didn't know yet. He also told Robert that they were running some tests to figure out what was wrong with Sarah, and that they would know more in a few hours. Robert asked if he could see Sarah, but the doctor told him that she was still being treated and that he would have to wait. A few hours later the doctor came out with a grieved face and shared the bad news to Robert. It was a shock to hear that Sarah was dead due to the sustained injury she had during the gun shot by Jessica's assassin. After a few weeks of struggling to cope with the news about Sarah, Robert decided that he needed a break. He knew that he and his wife hadn't been on a vacation in years, and he thought that a change of scenery might do them both some good. He booked a trip to a tropical island, and he hoped that the sun and sand would help them both to relax and heal. When they arrived at the resort, they were both overwhelmed by the beauty of their surroundings. The white sand and crystal-clear water were like something out of a dream. As they settled into their vacation, Robert and his wife began to relax and enjoy their time together. They took long walks on the beach, watched the sunset from their balcony, and ate delicious meals in the resort's restaurant. They felt like they were worlds away from their everyday lives, and they were grateful for the time they were able to spend together. They began to feel like they were able to reconnect and rebuild their relationship. They both felt a sense of peace and gratitude for the opportunity to start over. As the vacation came to an end, Robert and his wife began to think about the future. They had talked about what they wanted for their lives, and they had made a plan for how to move forward. They were going to focus on building a strong foundation for their relationship, and they were going to make time for each other every day. They were going to make their marriage a priority, and they were going to work on their communication and intimacy. They both felt like they had a new lease on life, and they were ready to take on the world together. When Robert and Rachel arrived at the resort, they were amazed by the beautiful tropical surroundings. They spent their days lounging on the beach, swimming in the crystal-clear water, and exploring the local restaurants and shops. In the evenings, they would go out to dinner and dance under the stars. As the vacation went on, they found themselves growing closer and closer. They began to share their deepest thoughts and feelings with each other, and they started to feel like they had known each other for a lifetime. Robert and Rachel had been married for many years, but they had grown apart over time. They rarely had time for each other, and they had fallen into a routine of taking care of their children and working long hours. But when they went on vacation, everything changed. They were able to reconnect and rediscover the love they had for each other. They spent their days exploring the beautiful island, eating delicious food, and making new memories together. They felt like they were falling in love all over again.
