EPISODE 8: THE HUNT

As the vacation went on, Robert and Rachel started to wonder if they could make their vacation romance last when they returned home. They knew it would be difficult, but they were determined to make it work. They decided to make some changes in their lives to prioritize their relationships. They began to spend more time together, going on date nights and taking weekend getaways. They even started taking dance lessons, just like they had on vacation. They felt like they were falling in love all over again, and they were happier than they had been in years.

It had been years since Jessica had seen Robert, and she had no idea how much his life had changed. She then decided to visit Robert herself to take revenge on a certain evening at about 6:00pm, when she knocked on the door, she wasn't sure what to expect. But when Rachel opened the door, she was surprised to see a woman who looked so strange. She was frightened at first when she looked at Jessica in the face but gathered courage to talk to her.

Hello, who are you? And how could I help you asked Rachel at the doorstep.

Jessica introduced herself, and Rachel's jaw dropped. She was surprised to see Jessica, who Robert narrated years ago about their affair. Jessica, on the other hand, was shocked to meet his wife face to face for the first time.

You can come in, I hope your visit brought peace," asked Rachel. Yes, I am cool, replied Jessica with a deep tone. But after the initial shock wore off, the three adults at the dining table while listening started to talk and found that they had a lot in common. They discussed a lot for some few minutes.

Jessica's anger at Robert had been simmering for years, and she had never been able to let it go. She was still hurt and angry about the way he had treated her, and she had come to confront him. But when she saw him with his wife and children, she realized that he had moved on. She knew that it was time for her to do the same, but she promised herself to take revenge, of her dead child and the pain she went through. So she took a deep breath and told him how she felt. She explained that she was still hurt, but she wished him well sarcastically. Jessica's anger began to boil over as she stood there in front of Robert. She couldn't control her emotions, and she started to raise her voice. She accused him of abandoning her and their child, and she said that he was a terrible person. Robert tried to calm her down, but she was too far gone. She started to cry, and she didn't know what to do. She felt like her whole world was crashing down around her, and she just wanted to take her life instead of letting both of them perish together. But she also knew that she couldn't leave without saying what she needed to say. After a few minutes, Jessica took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. She told Robert that she didn't come here to make him feel good, but she needed to tell him how she felt and the pain she had been through. She told him that she had been in love with him, and that it had taken her years to move on but, couldn't move on. She wished he had been more honest with her, and that she wished things had ended differently. Robert listened quietly, and when she was done yelling, she took out a gun, pointing at Robert. He started pleading for mercy and begged for his life.

Sorry..... sorry... please forgive me Jessica, it was a mistake, it was in the past. I was young and stupid, and I regretted the way I had treated you, Robert cried and begged repeatedly as he knelt down on the ground like a baby.

When Rachel heard the yelling from the kitchen while she went to get some beverages to drink, she started to get worried. She didn't know what to do at that moment, and she was concerned for her husband's safety. She picked up the phone and dialed 911. When the dispatcher answered, she said that she needed help. She explained the situation, and the dispatcher told her that they would send someone right away. She hung up the phone and waited for the police to arrive. She hoped that everything would be okay, but she was afraid of what might happen. The police arrived within minutes, and they entered the house cautiously, but before they could get closer they saw Robert lying down dead on the floor covered with a pool of blood. Jessica hit Robert, which led to his death. The police asked the woman for her identification, and she told them her name was Jessica. They ran her name through the system, and they discovered that she had a criminal record and, with what they saw, they noticed a gun and a stain of blood around her arms. Immediately, the police officers grabbed her with full force and arrested her with handcuffs. They asked her to come with them to the police station for questioning. She didn't resist, and she left the house with the officers.

Rachel cried and cried, seeing her husband carried by an ambulance. I am now a widow with tears rolling all her eyes. Rachel screamed.

The next day at the police station, the police officer asked Jessica to sit down in the interrogation room. He started asking her questions about her past, and she answered them honestly. She told the police officer everything that happened and what led her to kill Robert and Sarah. ( The assassins were also arrested). She was then transported to the local jail, where she was processed and booked. She was given a court date, and she was detained. She was smiling with a heavy heart, and she knew that she had fulfilled her promised.
