"I love her, Mr. Torres. If that's what you are asking"
The whole dining table fills with silence. But I hear a giggle from Savannah and when I glare at her, she goes into her silent mode too. But she is still smiling looking at her plate so I take it that my glare did not work on her.
"And?" Dad asks again.
"I know that is not the end. My daughter is here out of blue. Then you come to see her, and she is not okay again. So there is something else I need to know" Dad says again and I look at him.
"Enough" I whisper.
"Hazel, it's-"
"Elliot, thank you for coming till here to let me know about the new branch at Paris. I will definitely consider your offer. And I will get back to work from Monday. Thank you" I say and he gets my message.
