Walk in the Woods

Sirena was just an average girl, no special qualities or anything outstanding... Until she took a unplanned walk through the forest. There she started discovering herself, as she was seldom alone. The forest spoke to her, invited her, and who was she kidding she had to know more. Her thirst for knowledge and discovery led her toward a large opening in the trees. Without hesitation or much thought really, she walked into the clearing only to realize she was no longer truly alone. Around her glimmered into a natural nervana centralized in the field was a pond, and within the water was a man so stunning she stumbled in her footing. As ungraceful as a newborn faun she fell into the brush and cursed herself for her inability to multitask in the moment. Looking up she watched as the man strode out of the water. If she was not already well aquatinted with the ground, she surely would have collapsed at the sight of this mountain of a man with water cascading off of him as he slowly stepped towards her. Holding her breath and wishing he hadn't seen her embarrassing state she stood to her feet slowly. Unsure why this God of a man was all alone in the middle of the forest, and why the forest led her here in the first place, she spoke " Sorry to disturb you I just kinda wandered here. I'll just be heading off now." As she turned she heard a wonderfully masculine chuckle followed by a dark and sultry voice, "No need to apologize. You have not disturbed me in the slightest. It is a mighty nice day for a cooling dip but your arrival is a pleasant surprise." Turning around and seeing this masterpiece speaking to her she caught her breath 'my God I must have hit my head so hard I'm hallucinating! No man this good looking could be real let alone bothering to speak to me, especially after falling on my face like that.' she grimaced. A look of slight concern crossed his features. "Are you alright miss? Are you hurt?" "Nnn..nn.no. I'm fine." she stutters. "I just need to take a moment to settle myself." "Well you are more than welcome to stay and relax here. I have some sweet tea if you are interested?" he smiles. 'oh good lord he has dimples! where am I and what type of fantasy am I living in? He cannot be real.' "My name is, Lucien." he extends his hand forward " May I ask yours?" he asks gently. At risk of catching flies as her mouth fell agape she snapped her mouth shut and took a breath through her nose. 'God does he smell delicious... Right my name.' Placing her hand in his she feels warmth seep into her skin and smiles lightly "Sirena, my name is Sirena." she smiles awkwardly. 'great I'm just a bumbling mess right now. What has gotten into me?' Lucien POV To think a day as usual as today would end up being so eventful. Today started as most of my days do. I wake up alone, make my bed, head to the kitchen cook breakfast for myself, eat alone then get dressed for the day. As I walk out the front door to get started on my tasks a niggling feeling starts to draw me to the woodlands. Thinking screw it the forest is as lonely as I am I walk through the trees. Lightly touching the bark as I pass by heading toward where the forest guides me. It's not too long before I get to a beautiful mystical clearing. Mother forest must have led me here. As my gaze searches the landscape I see a marvelous pool of water that draws me nearer. Peering into the crystal water I draw a breath. 'Well I'm here so she must want me to swim. It is mighty hot for this time of day.' I shuck off my top layers but leave my skivvies on as I search for the perfect entry point. 'Aha perfect!' I jump off the large boulder into the cool clear water. I surface and start to swim enjoying the cool water and warm rays of the sun. Losing track of time I just allow myself to be in the moment. I'm just starting to consider getting out for lunch as I hear someone approaching the clearing from the opposite side I came from. Imagine my shock as I watch this incredibly beautiful woman clear through the tree line. Not a moment passes as she's scanning her surroundings and she sees me and trips over the rough terrain falling into the brush. I wade over to the shallows and slowly start to approach the shore. As I walk out of the water I can all but feel her gaze on me, and I'm not going to lie it feels nice. I approach her cautiously as I'm aware we are alone in the woods. Then she spoke with a voice so soothing and warm. "Sorry to disturb you I just kinda wandered here. I'll just be heading off now." What in the world? Did she just apologize for disturbing me? I can't help but chuckle. "No need to apologize. You have not disturbed me in the slightest. It is a mighty nice day for a cooling dip but your arrival is a pleasant surprise." As she turned back around I can't help but appreciate her beauty so close. She looks at me as she seems lost in thought. Then she makes a pained face. "Are you alright miss? Are you hurt?" I ask worried she might have been hurt in her fall. "Nnn..nn.no. I'm fine." she stutters. "I just need to take a moment to settle myself." I certainly understand that statement. I'm quite frazzled myself. "Well you are more than welcome to stay and relax here. I have some sweet tea if you are interested?" I smile trying to show kindness without coming off as a creep. "My name is, Lucien." I extend my hand out to her in introduction." May I ask yours?" I ask gently. Placing her hand in his he feels warmth seep into his skin. Looking at her in awe as she lightly smiles up at me. This is why mother forest brought me here today. She must be important. "Sirena, my name is Sirena." Now I know she's special. Her name gives me chills as I recognize who she is to me. "Very nice to meet you Sirena. What brings you to this party of the forest?" I pause " If you don't mind me asking?" I add cautiously. She looks deep in thought for a moment then speaks. "Honestly I don't know. I just had a feeling like I needed to walk in the woods today." she hesitates seeming to think it over. "This might sound crazy but it seemed like the forest was speaking to me. Like I was supposed to come here. I know that sounds nuts just hearing it out loud. I just don't understand what happened myself." I chuckle mother forest brought us here. Now I'm sure of it.
