Andria The Bully

1157 Words
Aiden ‘The fattie from prom?’ Andria was a bully quite alright, but I didn't expect her to be the type who bodyshamed others. When she in fact struggled with a lot of insecurities about her body. “That's enough Andria.” I whispered under my breath, loud enough for her to hear. “Chill… I was just joking. I'm sure I didn't say anything to offend her.” She said in her defense, smiling sweetly at Marie who from her body language clearly didn't want to be here. “Marie, what are you doing standing here?” Her friend asked, coming to her rescue. “You're lucky Mr. Armstrong is not in class yet. Come on, let's go.” She scolded, tugging her away from the awkward situation she so desperately wanted to walk away from. Once she was completely out of my sight, I turned to face Andria squarely, itching to call her out on her bad behaviour. “That wasn't cool Andria. You shouldn't do the things you would hate people doing to you.” I scolded, glaring at her. “You like her… don't you?” She asked, throwing me completely off guard with her question. “I see the way you look at her, Aiden. You've never looked at any girl that way before.” She continued, reading me like an open book which was typical Andria behavior when it came to me and our years of being friends. “Don't be absurd.” I said feebly, waving my hands in a dismissive manner mid air. “Okay, if you say so.” She replied with a shrug of her shoulder, proceeding to place her hand in the fold of my arm as the two of us left the school premises to meet up with the squad at one of our many hangout spots. There wasn't much to do at the Cave house; an apartment which belonged to Theon, Andria’s ex boyfriend. Asides from the vaping, make out sessions at the far end of the airtight space which I was subjected to watch whether I wanted to or not. Everyone was simply lost in their own world, minding their business. On the other hand, Theon, who also was in the company of a brunette, her tongue shoved deep inside his throat, all the while had his eyes planted on Andria. If I didn't know better, I would think he was using her to jerk off, or get an erection. Even if that was the case, I could care less. “I don't think Theon has gotten over you.” I pointed out, speaking to Andria who fell with a loud thud beside me on the only sofa in the house. “That's none of my business. I could care less if he has or hasn't. My heart is already with another.” She responded, yawning loudly, her eyes slowly dropping. “That's news to my ears. Why didn't you tell me you've found his replacement already?” I asked, fully invested in knowing this mystery person, most especially if he was part of our circle of friends. “Actually Theon was the replacement, not the other way around.” She corrected, inching her face towards my direction. “The main guy is just to dumb to see what's staring at him in the face.” She whispered softly, soft snores falling from her slightly party lips. The fact Andria never spoke about a guy in the past and in the present with so much admiration, could only mean the person in question was a dumbo if he didn't recognize and reciprocate her feelings in this same way and manner. At noon, when the sun had started to descend to make way for the grim, gray cloud we all left for home. But first I had to drop Andria at the Carlton's Estate; a huge landmass with similar buildings that belonged to Eden Carlton; Andria's stepdad. “My mom has not stopped talking about you for weeks now. You should come say hi to her before leaving.” Andria said, holding the handle of the car, waiting for me to do the same. “Maybe some other time. I need to be home before nine and it's already eight thirty.” I informed her, a knowing chuckle on why I was given the curfew in the first place falling off her lips. “Remind me never to get into your mom's bad books. God she is scary.” Andria taunted me, patting me with fake pity on the shoulder. “I need to change my circle of friends, starting with you Andria Stevens.” I joked, expecting her to find comic relief in my playful comment. Instead she turned red and bloated on the face, her eyes gleamed with what appeared to be tears and her lips quivered. Before I could offer an apology or think of the right words to say this time around to put her back into the bubbly mood I had soured. She clicked the car open, grabbed her school bag like it was disposable trash and slammed the door shut off its delicate hinges, probably in the hopes to leave a scratch on my car; my latest baby and garner a reaction from me. Since this was one out of the few times Andria acted out, I was going to assume that she, like every other teenager in the Silver Raven Pack, was having a bad day and not call her out on being difficult to deal with. At least not today. So much for wanting to meet up with the curfew time. Knowing my mom, even if I was a few seconds late to the fixed time, she wouldn't mind adding a week or more to the already existing one. With the speed of lightning and as far as my long legs could carry me, I rushed inside the house, gasping for air, and searching the premises if she was anywhere in sight. Just when I was about to exhale an air of relief from my constricted windpipe, I heard a soft feminine laughter coming from the living room. At first I wanted to ignore who the mystery visitor was and escape into my room. Then I heard my mom call Marie's name fondly, laughing loudly to the point that if I wasn't exaggerating the walls quaked from one of Marie's lame jokes. “Marie, you should come over more often. My door is always open to receive you anytime.” My mom said, the sounds of their footsteps approaching where I stood growing nearer. Before I could make a run for the stairs, in an attempt to evade my mom… Marie especially. A deep growl from my mom filled the entire house, those green eyes a replica of mine holding me in its hostile gaze. “And where do you think you're going, young man?”
